Pipe Based Screen

The pipe based screen is one of the most popular products in various oil projects, as they combine hydraulic efficiency of a vee-wire screen with the strength of a pipe. The outer screen layer allows oil to flow in, while still keeping sand and other abrasives out, reducing the chances for abrasion caused by sand and saving maintenance costs. The base pipe is built to API standards and the wedge wire screen is machined to provide an excellent corrosion resistance and a long service life.
1.The strength of the built in pipe allows the outer screen layer to partially yield to high oil pressure without enlarging the slot opening. A reliable sand removal performance is guaranteed, even under unfavorable operating conditions.
2.The slots are evenly distributed and are machined to a tolerance of 0.05mm, giving the screen its ability to limit sand access.
3.The high open area causes less resistance to the oil flow, contributing to an increased oil production yield.
4.A small pipe diameter presents less difficulty in oil well drilling.
5.A continuous vee-wire slot allows oil to flow past at a slow speed, reducing hydraulic pressure felt by the pipe and fittings.
6.The base pipe is made using API J55, K55, or N80 grade steel wire. The outer screen wrap layer is constructed of stainless steel grade 304. Custom materials can also be used upon request.
The pipe based screen is applicable for deep wells, oil wells, geothermal production wells, and wells laid in dangerous aquifers.
